Fox News Investigation Claims 101 Groups Across 13 Countries Form Global Protest Network

A Fox News Digital investigation claims 101 organisations across 13 countries form a global protest network linking demonstrations in France, India and elsewhere. The report examines activist groups, media outlets and alleged political connections.

An international network of organisations operating across 13 countries is at the centre of a Fox News Digital investigative report that claims 101 groups are working together within a coordinated “global protest ecosystem” to amplify demonstrations and political unrest across borders. According to the report, the network connects protests in France with youth-led movements in India and other countries, raising questions about the role of international organisations in shaping protest narratives and expanding local movements.

The investigation by Fox News investigative journalist Asra Q. Nomani examines an alleged network comprising left-wing and socialist organisations, trade unions, student groups, advocacy networks and certain media institutions. The report claims these groups bring local grievances onto a shared international platform and help give protests a broader political dimension.

According to the investigation, organisations within this network play a role in circulating protest messages, slogans and agendas across countries. The report alleges that they help amplify demonstrations by connecting local discontent with international campaigns, enabling movements in different countries to adopt similar messaging and approaches.

The investigation also highlights similarities in the methods, narratives and timing of protests across countries, despite differences in the issues driving them. It describes the alleged structure as a cross-border network that coordinates efforts to encourage opposition to governments and sustain protest movements. The findings have raised questions about international political coordination and its implications for domestic stability and diplomacy.

“Global ‘Chaos Inc’ has grown to 101 groups, and they are planning to protest anew,” the report states. The latest findings build on an earlier Fox News investigation that identified 50 organisations linked to student protests in France. By October 19, that number had increased to 54, before the latest investigation put the total at 101.

The report examines how organisations in France and India may be connected through shared protest messaging. One group highlighted in the investigation is the Indian Alliance Paris (IAP), an organisation based in France comprising students, researchers and professionals. According to Fox News, the group has been linking messages associated with protests in France and India.

The investigation alleges that IAP has promoted demonstrations in France and compared them with youth-led protests in India. In a social media post cited by Fox News, the organisation expressed support for young demonstrators in both countries, writing: “For Gen Z: In France. In India. Bravo for today.”

The report also examines the role of Progressive International, an international political organisation that brought protests in France, Spain, India and Albania into the same discussion during a briefing on October 16. The briefing raised the question of whether emerging uprisings could develop into an organised political force capable of changing the conditions that gave rise to them.

In India, the protests discussed in the report include demonstrations against the Election Commission, with protesters demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. The investigation places these demonstrations within the broader context of cross-border political messaging and coordination among activist organisations.

Another major focus of the Fox News investigation is the alleged connection between several organisations and Neville Roy Singham. The US-born technology entrepreneur lives in Shanghai and has been linked to a network of communist and socialist groups.

Among the organisations mentioned in the report are BreakThrough News, CodePink and the Party for Socialism and Liberation. Fox News alleges that these groups have helped expand the reach of protests through reporting, social media campaigns and political messaging.

BreakThrough News has specifically covered demonstrations in France and India, presenting them as part of a wider international movement against government policies and austerity. According to the investigation, such coverage helps frame protests in different countries within a shared political narrative.

The report also refers to Tricontinental, a research institute led by Vijay Prashad, and points to its connections with the wider activist network. On October 18, Prashad posted on X, formerly Twitter, drawing parallels between demonstrations in Paris, New Delhi and Buenos Aires.

In his post, he wrote, “Paris-New Delhi-Buenos Aires,” adding, “Let the anger take its time, because anger can become a force.”

The investigation's central claim is that 101 organisations across 13 countries are connected through a broader ecosystem of protest messaging, activism and media coverage. Its findings place the links between organisations, international political networks and youth-led demonstrations under scrutiny, while highlighting the debate over whether similar protests in different countries reflect shared grievances, coordinated advocacy or both.
